The mission of Aid to Adoption of Special Kids(AASK) is ensuring every child in foster care has someone who cares deeply about them.

More than 30 years of experience has shown us the difference a committed, caring adult has in a child’s life. Research shows relationships matter, helping children heal from the trauma of abuse and neglect, and improve their chances for life-long success.

AASK recruits, trains and supports families that are building relationships with children through adoption and foster care. Additionally, AASK provides support for kinship families (typically grandparents, aunts and uncles) who take emergency placement of children when they come into foster care due to abuse, neglect and abandonment.

AASK also recruits, trains and supports mentors for children in foster care who live in group homes. The AASK Sibling Connection program reunites siblings separated by foster care through regular local events and a weeklong summer camp. The Arizona Foster Care Tax Credit and your donation are what allows us to keep performing this critical mission for Arizona children.

Many Arizona employers have programs that will match the gift of their employees for qualified donations. For employer matching opportunities, click here to see if your employer participates. Or contact your HR department to learn whether your donation qualifies.
